[good blogger]

My main field of study is early Christianity and its corollaries, particularly the formation of the New Testament canon and NT textual criticism. I also enjoy comparative religious studies, with a focus upon the Abrahamic religious tradition (e.g. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and their many variegated representations). I am attempting to learn a few languages, with a heavy focus on Greek (both Classical and Hellenistic). I am also currently completing an undergrad in theology and have plans of pursuing further studies in early Christianity, with the end result of hopefully being able to teach someday in the far future (in an academic sense, not pastoral).

I would identify myself as a progressive evangelical Christian and can sum up what I believe as follows:
Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God; the man who said fully ‘Yes’ to God and through whom God said fully ‘Yes’ to man by resurrecting him from the dead as Lord over all.
